Structure of General Evaluator Portion
- Introduce GE portion regarding the why, the benefit of evaluations (1-2 min)
- Introduce the Evaluators (each evaluator take 2-3 min)
- Bring Functionaries up for their individual reports.
- Remind them beforehand to keep it under (3 min)
- Give your general summary of the meeting, evaluations, SFMET whatever. (3 min)
Tips
- The GE handles the evaluation portion and manages the time of his/her team (functionaries, evaluator, himself/herself).
- The GE portion should not take more than 15 min if you add up the minutes.
- Time management is a skill to be practiced by every 'Leader' in their respective portion of the Meeting. The Toastmaster of the Day (TMOD) makes sure the whole meeting runs on schedule.
- Comment on any technical issues with any speakers or presenters. These include mic issues, video quality, camera positioning. Offer practical suggestions for how to improve their online presence.
- Try to be bilingual in facilitating this. If we do it properly, we should not be DOUBLING the minutes in this section by translating every single sentence into two languages.
- If you prepared ahead of time, you can indeed have fun. If you did not, the Evaluation section will be confusing and messy.
- Lastly...have fun!
